Yes. Your mood entries, Coach conversations, and weekly reflections live exclusively in your account. No operator, no third party, no one else has access. Hosted on EU servers (Supabase Frankfurt), GDPR-aligned.

What is the data storage and deletion policy?

EU servers, GDPR-aligned. Mood history retained for 365 days; Coach conversation text auto-purges after 30 days. You can request full JSON export or immediate deletion in Settings at any time, no explanation required.

Can I use it anonymously?

Yes. In the Buddy and Tips features you appear under a pseudonym — your real name is never visible to other users. Per-post you can choose anonymous or revealed mode when sharing a practice.

Why a separate platform — isn't a generic AI chat (e.g. ChatGPT) enough?

A generic AI chat is open-ended: you have to figure out what to ask. ProSelf Care gives a structured daily frame — a 30-second mood check, a goal-tuned concrete practice, a weekly reflection in Frankl's meaning-oriented framework, with a scientific source cited on every response. Plus: an anonymous peer community (Buddy + Tips), and an automatic crisis-handover on warning signs.
